Even though a lot of Soul Music came out of Detroit, Chicago and Memphis, some mighty good Soul came from Philadelphia too. I took a bit of Hall & Oates and mixed it up with a little Curtis Mayfield and then seasoned it with some of my crackpot political ideas.

I believe that it is up to every one of us to keep an eye on the people who decided to make their living as “public servants”. Little by little, this country has been steered away from the principles that our founding fathers held dear and twisted into a mindless fear of anything different.

The Spirit of '76 was born in Philadelphia when this country was founded. I am very glad to be a U.S. citizen, but I don’t believe in slogans like “America … Right or Wrong” or “Love it or Leave it”.

All that aside, I hope you like the song. Maybe it can’t make a difference, but give it an 85 if you can Dance to It ...
